President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of the Chairmen and members of the Governing Boards of forty-two Federal Government's

parastatals and agencies.

A statement issued by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim said that membership of each Governing Board shall include all the statutory ex-officio members in accordance with the Enabling Laws of the Parastatals and Agencies. According to him, the dates for the formal inauguration of the Governing Boards will be announced in due course by the supervising authorities and Honourable Ministers.

The Chairmen and non ex-officio members of the Governing Boards as announced yesterday included:

Prince Olusola Akanmode is Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology while members are Hon. Idonibin Obagama, Alh Garba Dahiru, Barrister Mahmud A. Gurumpawo, Dr. Mohammed Bello Abdulkadir (Salankan Zazzau).

For National Mathematical Centre, Sen. Abubakar H. Girei is the Chairman while members include Prof. G.A Badmus, Barr. Stephen Ahaneku, Dr. Zilkifilu Abdu.

Universal Basic Education Commission has HH. A. J. Turner as Chairman and members are Mohammed Bello, Hon. Chuma Nnaji, Hauwa Musa Kida, Abubakar L. Audu, Hon. Tarfa Atu, Engr. Kunle Yusuf, Nnalue Kingsley Chizobam, Dr. Sharon Oviemuno, and Mathias Ekweremadu.

Chief Chukwuemeka Ezife is the Chairman of the National Commission for Colleges of Education while members are Mrs Margaret Zidon, Alhaji Mohammed Dantsoho and Mrs Ngozi Nnadozie.

The National Institute for Education Planning and Administration is chaired by Elder Bolaji Anani with members including Hajiya Jamila Baba Buhari and Barrister Nma Mowete.

Chairman of the National Institute for Fresh Water Fisheries Research is Alh. Arma Yau Abubakar while members are Chief Francis Ayodele Akinkiawe, Chief George Moghalu, Hon. Bimbola Yusuf and Oche Ekoza Elias.

Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria is chaired by Alh. Sulieman Galadima while members include Umoru Barau Ningi, Bennette E. Ughamadu, Oluomo Yinka Adeojo and Barr. Uche Igbokwe.

Alh. Bello Gusau is to chair the Nigerian Institute of Oceanography and Marine Research while members include Ahame Adamu Bawa, Mrs. Aduke Maina Waziri, Chief T. Dawari Horsefall, Chief Felix Mgbada, and Abdullahi Ohiomah.

For the National Cereals Research Institute, Igwe Ginger Ibeneme is the Chairman and members are Hon. Adeboro Onibalusi, Mrs Margaret John Zamdai, Chief Mrs Toru Ofili and Prince Otuu Irukwu.

The National Eye Centre has Prof. C.I.P. Anibeze as Chairman while members include Chimezie D. Ugochukwu, Dr. Femi Babalola, Dr. Abdulrahman Abdullahi Wase and Dr. Nma N. Nwokeocha.

Chief Oluwole Oludaisi Aina chairs the National Root Crops Research Institute and members include Steve Nwachukwu, Folake Olunloyo Osinowo, Hon. Mrs. Hannatu Ullam, Ahmed Sani Kaura and Shola Ogbemi-Daibo.

The National Horticultural Research Institute has Juliet Wayoka as Chairman with members including Chael Kusah, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi, Ituma Valentine Emeka and Alh. Abdulmumuni Vaki.

For National Inland Waterways Authority, Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu is the Chairman while Admiral Mike Onah [Rtd] is a member of the board.

The board of the National Animal Production Research Institute, Shika , Zaria is chaired by Hon. Emeka Otozi while Robinson Ejifoma, Mrs Felicia Diejomoho, Saidu Ahmed Jere, Anicho Sunday Okoro and Engr. Babagana Zanna are members.

Cairo Ojougbo chairs the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority while members include Emmanuel Ekuwem and Husaini Jalo.

While no member was listed for the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism Studies, Kanayo O. Kanayo chairs the board.
