| APC: Umunwaku community showers praises on Okorocha |
The
people made the remark during a sensitization gathering convened by the
Government Liaison Officer (GLO) Umunwaku, Hon Esom Goddy Obodo, (PHD)
at central school play ground Umunwaku recently.
Addressing
the gathering, Obodo informed them that Okorocha has done wonderfully
well that the people decided to follow him wherever he goes politically.
He
told them that the N1 m counter fund for the community has been
accessed and the renovation of a primary school building with the money
will soon start.
Obodo
added that he donated one hectare of land with processing machines to
the community for the commencement of garri processing factory to boost
agriculture.
He
pleaded with the community to give peace a chance and embrace the wind
of change that is blowing around Imo state and Nigeria.
Speaking
during the occasion, the traditional ruler of the community and
chairman of the CGC, HRH Eze A. Obodo who spoke through one of his
cabinet Chiefs, Chief Donatus Eziuka thanked the governor for
establishing the fourth tier government and pledged the support of his
community for the Rescue Government.
He also donated a four room building to be used as secretariat of Umunwaku CGC.
A
12-man committee for Project Attraction and Implementation Service
(PRAISE) was set up by the GLO to attract investors to the community and
ensure their implementation.
It
would be recalled that the governor while inaugurating the GLOs charged
them to ensure the development of their communities through the
attraction of investors into their communities.
The
occasion was graced by the Eze and his cabinet, the Rescue Forum
Umunwaku, the Federated Women Organization Umunwaku and a cross section
of Umunwaku people
